How to Lose Water Weight Fast
Posted by admin on 07/18/07 in Diet Articles
You know when you feel like you could lose 10 pounds of water weight? Your wrists, ankles and even your face swells up?
I hate that feeling. And as I have high blood pressure water retention is a major issue. Sometimes even prescribed diuretics don’t even help.
Lots of people are tempted to go buy over the counter Diuretics to drop water weight quickly, but buying pills is not really the best solution.
The best way to lose water weight is to drink more water. Lots of it.
The reason you’re retaining water is most likely because you’re not getting enough of it. Your body is storing water, because it’s in dehydration mode.
I’m guessing you’ve read that you need to drink 8 glasses of water per day about 8000 times in your lifetime. Well depending on your size and weight you might need more..
But sure enough… if you increase your daily water intake within 24-48 hours, you’ll notice the swelling go down and your face will be less puffy..
You’ll be more regular, your skin and hair will look better, and you’ll even get more exercise due to the frequent bathroom trips.
It can be really hard to get into the water habit, but once you do, you’ll find your overall health will improve as well.

You know I recently started eating a lot of bananas and noticed I was losing water weight… apparently potassium can help you lose water weight and lower your blood pressure.

Bananas do help! My weight was fluctuating 3-5 lbs daily until i realized that the bananas i ate for a week here and there were the weeks i felt great!
Potassium balances out the sodium to maintain a good water weight mgt. Sodium retains water causing the bloated and flucutationg weight gain/loss.

I’M 170-178LBS.WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING I’M USUALLY 170LBS BUT AT NIGHT BEFORE GOING TO BED I’M 175-178LBS. IS THAT NORMAL? I FEEL LIKE THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME. PLUS I USUALLY GAIN AROUND THE BUTTUCKS, THIGHS, AND HIPS AREA. MY TOP FRAME IS VERY SMALL. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE THE TOP OF A 14YR OLD AND THE BOTTOM OF A 50YR OLD. PLUS THE FAT THAT I HAVE IS VERY SOFT, NOT HARD. DO YOU THINK I HAVE TOO MUCH WATER WEIGHT?

I have not noticed the banana miracle. When I eat them I feel like I’m retaining water? is that possible. I feel like I retain water all the time and that birth control pills contribute to this.
I’ve gained 10 lbs in the last 2 years and do not want the trend to continue.

Nadira, just up your water intake. You don’t have to eat bananas, try a potassium supplement. The only way to loose weight is diet and exercise, or diet. Or exercise, or a combo! Jen, I know how you feel. I gained about 20+ pounds, felt like hell all the time…THEN I got off my birth control pills and switched to an IUD. I have never felt better. The weight is coming off so easily, I have already dropped 15+ pounds and haven’t been doing that much! Hormones really screw up your body, they fake it into thinking that your pregnant so you automatically gain a new layer of pregnancy fat. Plus they mess with your mood and can make you feel like a crazy woman sometimes! Hope this helps you all!
